1. What Chilimba Circle is

Chilimba Circle is a record-keeping tool for rotating savings groups (sometimes called chilimba, chama, or stokvel). The app helps you track who has contributed, whose turn it is to receive the pot, and when the next cycle is due.

No money moves through Chilimba Circle. Members send funds to each other directly (Mobile Money, bank transfer, cash) and use the app to record those payments.

2. Your responsibility

You and your circle members are responsible for actually sending and receiving the contributions you record in the app. We do not verify, hold, or guarantee any payment. Disputes about money are between you and your group members.

3. Accounts

You need a free account to create or join a circle. Keep your sign-in details private. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use the app for unlawful schemes, fraud, harassment, or to collect money under false pretences. We may suspend accounts that violate this.

5. Service availability

We try hard to keep the app available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. The app is provided "as is" without warranties.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by Zambian law, Chilimba Circle is not liable for any loss arising from money sent between members, disputes between members, or members who fail to contribute.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll notify you in the app or by email for material changes.
